Private Tutoring Services will begin facilitating "Teens Tutoring Teens" at Boca Middle School on Tuesday. The program is sponsored by a grant from the Youth Services Council of Boca Raton's Promise-The Alliance for Youth. Under this community service event, trained high school students will offer an academic helping hand to their fellow teens.
The students receiving assistance are members of Choices, an Outward Bound program sponsored by the Boca Raton Police Department. Through their participation, they will fulfill membership requirements and have their educational experience enhanced. The tutors who volunteer will enjoy peer interaction and the satisfaction that comes with social service; they also will complete community service hours required for graduation.
The goal of Private Tutoring Services is to help people realize their potential. For more information about Teens Tutoring Teens, call 561-338-3811.
