Q: What does your job entail?

A: I am a private tutor for students of all ages. I work in cooperation with other schools and with certain distance-learning programs.

Q: How did you get started?

A: After receiving my bachelor's degree in journalism from New York University, I moved to Spain to teach English as a second language to adults. When I returned to the United States, I met Joanne Weiner, the director of Private Tutoring Services, and began tutoring. I enjoyed tutoring students individually much more than in a classroom setting. Every student has an independent way of learning and private tutoring can cater directly to his/her needs, creating a confidence in school that is necessary for true academic success.
